The Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation has a team at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Houston, Texas. The Avon Foundation has contributed funds for the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation Patient Advocate Program at the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. A requirement of receiving these funds is that we support the closest walk which is in Houston. The Walk is great fun and Avon goes out of its way to make sure each walker and crew member is well taken care of and has a meaningful experience.
This
year, ABCF Member and former Board member Lih Lan needs our help. We challenge every member to donate any amount so Lih-Lan can see our support on her AVON 39 web page. You can keep the amount given hidden if you like but still show your name. Lih-Lan needs to know that ABCF appreciates and supports her effort on our behalf and on behalf of breast cancer patients everywhere. Please contribute toward her $1800 required donation today!
Sidewalks and city streets lead you from the historic homes in the Heights and River Oaks neighborhoods to the cultural epicenter of Montrose. Houston 39ers experience the community of Quillian, the fun of Minute Maid Park, and the grandeur of downtown first hand.
Throughout the entire event there will be snacks, regular rest stops and hearty meals. Tents are provided by Avon at no charge at the Wellness Village. Hot showers with Avon Products are provided in the Avon Shower Trucks.
